Old Park Jaffna picture gallery.
Old Park is a 27 acre urban park in the city of Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka. It was originally built in the 19th century as the gardens and grounds of the residency of the British Government Agent for the Northern Province.
The renovated Old Park was opened to the public in July 2012. It is very easy to go this park by public transport from Jaffna town.
Old Park is the best place in Jaffna to sit and relax under the big trees. And the best place for kids to play in the natural grass.
Park opens at 10:00 a.m and closes at 8:00 pm. There is a small entrance fee. LKR.20 for adults and LKR.10 for kids.
Everyday evening many people coming to this park and spend time with their kids. Kids have many play activities such as swings, hubby house, climbing wall, slides, hanging bridge etc. See the picture gallery here.
