Kadurugoda Vihara Kandarodai
Kadurugoda Vihara is an ancient Buddhist temple situated in a small village called Kandarodai which is close to Chunnakam town.
The special feature of these ancient Buddhist structures is that there are no square shape constructions above the global structures; Instead of that , There are are umbrella shape structures one above the other next to the global structures.
About 25 minutes drive from Jaffna town. Car/van or Three wheeler (Tuk Tuk) is the best transport option to reach this place.
Currently this temple has been declared as archaeological site in Jaffna District and is maintained by the Sri Lankan army.
